The Park School is an early childhood learning center offering ten-month programs for regular education kindergarten students, kindergarten students with autism, and pre-school students with special needs. An age range of three through seven and an enrollment maximum of 129 students attest to the school’s strong focus on early childhood education and the individual needs of children.

The school facility houses three regular education kindergarten classrooms, five pre-school disabled classrooms, and one kindergarten level autistic classroom. The school also provides students with a computer room/library center, an all-purpose room with a full-service cafeteria, a resource room, and five therapy rooms. Students enjoy two fenced playground areas for outdoor learning activities and recreation.

Classroom teachers are aided by as few as one and as many as five full-time teacher assistants per room, depending upon student needs. Student support services include on-site speech and language specialists, occupational and physical therapy services, a resource room teacher, a full-time school nurse, and a full-time behaviorist.

The Park School’s Prospect Park location offers easy student access, the emergency medical services of St. Joseph’s Hospital’s nearby Paterson and Wayne facilities, close proximity to William Paterson University for staff development opportunities, and cordial, community-based learning activities for students.
