THE EXCEPTIONAL |
Skylands School for the Exceptional is a full day
program dedicated to providing the finest possible educational
experience for children identified as Multiply Disabled and/or Medically
Fragile. The mission of the school is to improve the quality of life
for each student through a program that provides a highly structured and
caring learning environment. A transdisciplinary approach is utilized
whereby all staff – Teacher, Speech and Language Specialist,
Occupational and Physical Therapists, Registered Nurse, and Teacher Assistants
– work together towards the development and implementation of
curriculum to meet the unique needs of each student.

support services that include Speech and Language therapy as well as

*2 individual sessions each per week are included in
tuition for speech, OT& PT (additional sessions will be billed
separately)

School Year (4-hour school day lasting 4 weeks during summer
vacation)

maintained on a 2/3 session schedule
This
is the opportunity for a Multiply Disabled and/or Medically Fragile
student to be placed in a full day school program that emphasizes
each student special needs throughout the school day.
An extended school year option is available.
